This course will allow the student to build solid
troubleshooting techniques and use them in determining issues within an
operating SAN. An in-depth exploration of the Storage Networking
protocols; Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCIP, and FCoE is used as the basis for
problem detection and resolution. Expert-level discussion and review of
the SAN environment and components allows an understanding of the
potential problems and bottlenecks found in the SAN. Data gathering and
analysis from hosts, storage, and SAN devices will be used for root
cause analysis. Problem isolation, action planning and troubleshooting
within an active SAN environment will be a focus using hands on labs and
multiple complex scenarios.

SAN Performance Workshop - Video ILT
The SAN Performance Workshop is an advanced level SAN course designed to provide
participants with the knowledge to implement and troubleshoot SAN solutions with
performance in mind. The student will learn to diagnose and troubleshoot SAN
performance issues related to switch, fabric, network connectivity, traffic distribution
characteristics, and EMC features.
Lab exercises using recorded performance archives are included. These exercises
examine the archive to detect performance issues and make recommendations for
improvement. You are encouraged to bring performance archives from your actual
environment to analyze during the class.
