Troubleshooting Storage Area Networks

This course will allow the student to build solid troubleshooting techniques and use them in determining issues within an operating SAN. An in-depth exploration of the Storage Networking protocols; Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCIP, and FCoE is used as the basis for problem detection and resolution. Expert-level discussion and review of the SAN environment and components allows an understanding of the potential problems and bottlenecks found in the SAN. Data gathering and analysis from hosts, storage, and SAN devices will be used for root cause analysis. Problem isolation, action planning and troubleshooting within an active SAN environment will be a focus using hands on labs and multiple complex scenarios.
