This course provides an overview of EMC Open Replicator for Symmetrix. It explains the terminologies and technologies used in Open Replicator. The concepts of Hot Pull, Hot Push, Cold Pull and Cold Push, along with their options, are covered. Other topics include the principles behind zoning and masking of the control and remote arrays as well as the kinds of devices that can be used in Open Replicator data transfers.

Symmetrix Performance Analyzer (SPA) is an intuitive, browser-based user interface for the purpose of historical trending and analysis of Symmetrix array performance data. A key part of the course includes recorded examples that will demonstrate how to install and configure Symmetrix Performance Analyzer.
